CSP develops and licenses software for the Tertiary Education
Sector and Medical sectors, using the latest process
methodologies (Agile) and development environments (Microsoft
.NET 2.0, AJAX, SQL Server 2005).
Projects currently under development are:
Research Quality Management System (Socrates)
Aimed at collecting and providing information for the
Australian Federal Government's Research Quality Framework (RQF)
initiative, Socrates draws information concerning research and
research staff from multiple university databases (HR, Student
Information Management, Research Management and presents that
information in a cohesive and single whole. Out of its original
purpose, Socrates has started being used for research performance
management at an individual and School, Faculty and University
Level.
Discussions are underway to license Socrates to other
universities for the up-coming RQF round in 2007.
Scholarship Management Systems (Pandora, Athena and
iAthena)
Systems have been developed and are in use at UWA for
undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships, providing
functionality for application, ranking and scholarship allocation
and management.
Student Unit Evaluation System (Neptune)
A system allows students to complete surveys online giving
feedback on their evaluation of units they have taken during the
year. The system replaced a paper-based survey that consumed
around 50,000 sheets of paper a year!
Unit Outlines Online (Calliope)
The Calliope system allows students to view UWA's unit
outlines online, while offering the faculty staff, school staff
and unit coordinators the ability to change unit outline content in a
versioned, user friendly web environment.
Online Glasshouse Bookings (Apollo)
Apollo is currently in use at the UWA School of Plant Biology
for booking the Glasshouse Facilities. The System Manages
bookings, user notification and offers simplified financial
report generation.
